IF NOT NOW WHEN?
But how do we sustain these dreams & make them reality. We are infatuated by thoughts like
“ Someday I will lose weight”
“Someday I will stop worrying about what people will think of me”
Do you constantly break promises to yourself?
Do you start something then find sustaining momentum is just too hard?
Do you put others first & ignore your needs?
To create lasting change is to break old habits & create new ones. So what is a HABIT?
An acquired behavior pattern regularly followed until it has become almost involuntary “the habit of looking both ways before crossing the street.”
These behavioral patterns are arduous to create however will be the doorway to your NEW LIFE
So how can we transition to this NEW YOU?
I have spoken to lots of clients regarding change & many require a process to follow allowing these behaviors to become embedded. Many others just need to let go.
To let go of their previous experiences of failure.
To stop the negative thought process that they believe & convince themselves they are not capable or worthy of this change.
As Eckhart Tolle (Author or A new Earth & many other publications) describes so eloquently in many of his books
“The past has no power over the present moment.”
“Whatever you fight, you strengthen, and what you resist, persists.”
As we go through change it is easy to be held back by resistance. This will allow our current behaviors to persist.
Start each day with a vision of what you want your life to be.
Write a positive manta for yourself of what you ARE capable of achieving & why you want this change to happen.
Treat yourself gently when the day does not go to plan. It is about the end goal, not the hurdles along the way.
