Jo Rayner Coaching - February 2016 Newsletter

1.  A life coach is someone that helps to empower others by helping them make, achieve and exceed goals in both their personal and professional lives.
Life coaching helps clients to
Find happiness.
Feel fulfilled both at home and work.
Deal with stressful life events.
Implement life skills to overcome challenging situations.
Deal with stress, anxiety, guilt and loss.
2. Life Coaching help’s clients learn new skills by providing tools and techniques to
Face challenging situations in a more confident way.
Identify emotional barriers and triggers plus find ways to overcome these.
Enjoy and view life in a more positive way.
3. You will never be forced to make any decisions that you don't feel comfortable or happy with. All sessions are confidential, allowing you to express and explore your thoughts and feelings privately.
4. Life Coaching can be very practical. It can help you identify what tools you can put in place to obtain that new job & promotion or can help you look at your emotions in a different way & implement these tools to help you obtain a different outcome.
5. Life Coaching does not have to be about looking to the past to find out where all the pain is and where it came from.  I can work with clients in the here and now to create new outcomes for the future. Looking at specific goals whilst learning what might need to change to get there.
6. As a Life Coach I am committed to helping you grow your self-awareness, confidence & skill set to reach your potential and ensure you have the belief that you have options in life.
7. Life Coaching is about ensuring clients feel equipped to deal with areas of their lives that they have previously not addressed
8. How long do sessions last?
Life coaching sessions typically last about 60 minutes however depending on the package you choose this may differ.
Sessions can be conducted over the phone, face to face, or email.
9. How is life coaching different from counselling?
Counselling generally aims to solve problems by understanding what happened in the past.
Coaching is about understanding your emotions, how and why you react in a certain way and most importantly it’s about making a change for the future.
To counsel means to give advice. As a Life Coach no advice is given, instead various techniques including self discovery help the client to find the best path for themselves.
10. How many sessions are required?
Clients have as many or as few sessions as they require depending on their needs and goals with no obligation
Some Clients see a life coach every week, once a fortnight or once every few months. Your sessions are about You, for You.

J – Norwich

I first started seeing Jo at the end of January 2015. I felt so down about my life at that time that I like a lot of people, I couldn’t possibly picture feeling any differently. I wouldn’t have been able to imagine how I’d feel after beginning sessions with Jo. She is friendly, approachable and makes you feel 100% at ease. With Jo’s help, I now have a job that I enjoy, hobbies that I like and have learnt to deal with my anxiety issues more effectively. Jo has not only been there for me during appointments, but whenever I have needed her. She has a very personal approach and makes you feel like a very valued client. I would highly recommend Jo to anyone.
